Faculty of Health and Human Development

Dean's Message
Based on the rich content that the region is proud of, we offer learning that values your own experiences.

Dean of Faculty of Health and Human Development
Professor Mitsuhiro Ota
Faculty of Health and Human Development aims to create a society where all people can live fulfilling lives, physically, mentally, and socially, while relying on the expertise of each individual.
We value the unique resources and traditions of our region, such as the food practices that support health and longevity in Nagano Prefecture and the Shinshu-style nature-based childcare, and we promote learning that walks hand in hand with the local community. Furthermore, we aim to cultivate leaders who can thrive with a global perspective in their respective fields of expertise. To achieve this, we want to go out more into the community, expand learning opportunities, and create a system where university learning and local people interact with one another.
