Faculty of Health and Human Development cherishes the unique resources of Nagano Prefecture, such as its food practices that support healthy longevity and Shinshu-style nature-based childcare, and promotes learning that walks hand in hand with the local community. Department of Food and Health Sciences helps students acquire qualifications such as Registered Dietitian (eligible to take the national examination), Dietitian License, and First-Class Nutrition Teacher License, Department of Child Development and Education Childcare helps students acquire qualifications such as Childcare Worker Qualification and First-Class Kindergarten Teacher License, fostering leaders who can thrive in their respective fields with a global perspective.
Common curriculum for the entire university
This is a short-term training program for all second-year students (third-year students in the Department of Child Studies, Department of Child Development and Education Faculty of Health and Human Development) that allows them to efficiently experience language learning and specialized field studies abroad.
