Message from the Chairman
Since its founding, our university has been committed to unique educational initiatives that are characteristic of a modern university, such as a mandatory residential system for first-year students, mandatory Overseas Program for all students, and seminars focused on developing Communication Seminar. These can be seen as embodying the university's mission to cultivate leaders who will shape the future.
As a relatively new university established in 2018, we have been laying the groundwork for our ideal of disseminating information from the local community to the global stage by developing infrastructure such as global training and English language education. Currently, the seeds sown by our predecessors are growing into trees. We hope to nurture these trees into a lush forest so that the students who study here can contribute to the local community and the world.
One of the important roles of a university is industry-academia-government collaboration. As a prefectural university, our institution is closely connected to the local community and is characterized by its agility. I would like to leverage my experience in corporate management to become a bridge between industry, academia, and government.
Our mission is to further develop The University of Nagano, which already serves as a center of knowledge, into an even more prominent institution.
