I've always been able to take on challenges with the support, encouragement, and help of those around me.

Since I was in junior high school, I had vaguely wanted to become a childcare worker. I also wanted to contribute to my local community, so I chose to work at the Tatsuno Town Public Nursery School.
Currently, as a teacher in the 1-year-old class, I spend my days watching the children grow and interacting with their smiles. My work is diverse, including playing with the children, assisting with meals, changing diapers, and monitoring their health.
My particular focus is on building relationships with children and their parents so that they feel safe and secure at the nursery. To that end, I always value being close to the children, accepting them, empathizing with them, and responding to their needs. In the future, I would like to deepen my studies in areas such as musical expression and physical play, and challenge myself to obtain qualifications that I can use in childcare. I want to actively challenge myself to do things that I am interested in during my university years.
During my university years, I was fortunate to be surrounded by supportive people who always helped me. No matter what I did, my friends, professors, and family supported me. I started participating in "Gurunpa," a community service volunteer circle that connects with local parents and children, and in running an online parenting course as a collaborative project with Nagano City through my seminar, thanks to encouragement from a friend. Now, those activities have become valuable experiences that support me. I regret not being more proactive in the past, but I've decided to use this reflection as motivation to be more proactive in the future.
I'm sure I made many mistakes during my university years, but forgetting them is one of my virtues, and I intend to continue moving forward with a positive attitude. To my juniors, I hope you enjoy your university life to the fullest and fulfill your own dreams, so that you have no regrets.

We value collaboration with parents and strive to create an environment that fosters children's independence, finding fulfillment in our work despite the challenges we face.

I was looking for a kindergarten where I could work in cooperation with parents to help children experience what they want to do, and it was Professor Ota, who was both the head of my department and my seminar professor, who introduced me to Noborito Kindergarten.
I felt that the educational goal of "learning through play" suited me, and during my visit to the nursery, I saw that communication was valued not only among the teachers but also with the parents. I felt that I could do the kind of childcare I wanted to do here, so I decided to take the job. In addition to daily childcare as a homeroom teacher, preparing for events is also an important part of my job. I am working on how to foster the children's independence, and while I sometimes struggle with this, I also find it very rewarding.
As a member of the first cohort of "Gurumpa," a community service club I belonged to during my university years, I developed the skills to act proactively and actively express my opinions, which has been useful in my work.

The environment, which included many presentations and practical exercises, and where we could learn from each other proactively, is what supports me today.

I was drawn to this organization because it values child-centered play, born from children's wishes, interests, and passions, and that's why I joined.
What I find appealing about my current job is the opportunity to be there for children as they creatively create their own games, to experience, discover, and experiment while engrossed in play, and to cherish the spirit of creating an environment that facilitates this.
The knowledge I gained while spending time with my classmates and professors at The University of Nagano—regarding appropriate lifestyles and childcare practices for infants and toddlers, creating environments that foster children's autonomy, supporting children with special needs, and supporting parents—has all been invaluable and forms the core of my philosophy of childcare. Currently, I am the homeroom teacher for a class of four-year-olds, and I enjoy my days while supporting the children's play.
