I aspire to become a registered dietitian who can confidently collaborate with other professionals regarding nutrition.

Since entering university, I have aspired to become a registered dietitian working in a hospital. I was drawn to the warm atmosphere I felt during a hospital visit, and chose Azumino Red Cross Hospital as my place of employment. As a registered dietitian, I need to understand the patient's underlying medical conditions, current state of illness, and complaints, and then consider appropriate meals. It is very rewarding when the meals I have devised lead to improvements in a patient's food intake and test results. In some cases, improved food intake has extended a patient's lifespan, which has reinforced my belief in the power of nutrition, a skill I learned at the medical school. I am currently working in the surgical ward, where pre- and post-operative nutritional management is crucial. Even with the same disease, symptoms vary greatly from person to person, and I strive to provide nutritional management that is tailored to each individual patient. In the future, I aim to obtain certification as a specialist in nutritional support teams.

The most rewarding part of the job is hearing users say, "The food is delicious." As a registered dietitian, I contribute to community-based welfare in my hometown of Nagano.

I chose to work at Fujimi Kogen Medical and Welfare Center because my interest in nutritional management for the elderly grew through my university internships, and I felt I could utilize my registered dietitian qualifications. I had always wanted to work in my hometown of Nagano Prefecture, so my current workplace, which provides community-based welfare services, was an ideal environment for me.
My main duties involve nutritional management and meal service management at the facility. The knowledge I gained at university about nutritional management for each life stage and hygiene management for large-scale food preparation is proving useful. What I find rewarding is seeing the facility users happy. When they tell me that the food is delicious, it motivates me to keep improving it.
In the future, I aim to obtain the Certified Registered Dietitian qualification, which can be taken after gaining more than five years of practical experience, and to acquire more specialized knowledge to contribute to the welfare of my community.

I am working to revitalize the local community through mushrooms, and I am also using what I learned at university to take on the challenge of promoting mushrooms through food education.

As someone from Nagano, I wanted to do work that would allow me to contribute to my hometown, and during my job search, I came across Hokuto, a company known for selling mushrooms. I decided to join the company because I thought I could utilize my registered dietitian qualifications in Nagano Prefecture, which boasts the highest mushroom production volume in Japan. Currently, I work in sales, responsible for promoting mushroom sales. I update our company's website, "KinoRepi," which introduces mushroom recipes, and we cooperate with local companies to set up booths at events. I work hard every day with the desire to contribute to regional revitalization. In the future, I will also be involved in business negotiations and food education. I would like to make proposals that utilize the knowledge of nutrition and cooking that I learned at university. I would like to work on various things so that more people can enjoy eating healthy mushrooms and become healthier.
