Q5. Do you cook your own meals or eat out more often?
A. The rate of self-catering is very high. In a survey conducted in 2020 regarding dormitory life, 80% of dormitory residents cooked their own breakfast, slightly less than 50% cooked their own lunch, and 80% cooked their own dinner.
Q6. When is the day you move out of the dormitory?
A. The dormitory move-out date is approximately from February 1st to March 10th of the following year. After all residents have moved out, the entire building will be cleaned and prepared for the arrival of new first-year students the following year.
Q7. Is dormitory life only for one year?
A. Generally, the term is one year, but some dormitory residents can remain in the dormitory as RAs (Resident Assistants). RAs are students who support new first-year students and international students who are living away from their families at Zozan Dormitory, helping them to live safely and comfortably in their daily lives and studies.
Q8. Is the dormitory safe and secure?
A. We have installed an access control system using electric locks (compatible with IC card readers) (at the entrance and in each unit). In addition, Zozan Dormitory has a management office and a 24-hour on-site caretaker's residence, so you can rest assured of safety and security.
Q9. Curfew? Do you have a part-time job?
A. The curfew is 11 PM. Going out between 11 PM and 6 AM the following morning is prohibited. Violations may result in guidance or disciplinary action as necessary. Part-time work is permitted within the curfew hours.
Q10. Are there separate male-female units?
A. There are separate buildings for boys and girls, connected by a shared space (learning hub). Please note that an access control system is in place, preventing students from entering or leaving each other's units or dorm rooms.
