A global perspective that extends beyond Japan, and flexible thinking that looks to the future rather than relying solely on past experiences, will pave the way for a new future not only for Nagano Prefecture but for Japan as a whole.

Skills you will acquire in four years

2. English proficiency, communication skills, and conversational skills

Global Business Course, 4th Year
Yuna Okizaki
The appeal is The opportunity to learn management while developing a global perspective, and to broaden future career options by learning about a wide range of business areas. I think so.
My favorite class is "Business Strategy," and I chose a seminar where I can learn about business strategy. In the seminar, we learn practically, such as actually developing our own business plans and submitting them to contests. For my graduation research, I plan to study the toy industry, which is expanding its market size despite the declining birthrate, as I have come to realize the importance of companies transforming themselves in a constantly changing society.
The University of Nagano is a great place for people who want to study business administration or develop an international perspective, as well as for those who don't yet have a clear vision for their future. By engaging with various academic fields, your perspective broadens, and you begin to see what you truly want to do. I think so.
Research & Seminar Introduction

Professor Kim Hyonson
Areas of expertise: Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, Companies Act, Corporate Accounting Act
Some disclosures are mandated by law, while others are voluntary. If false or fraudulent information is mixed into this disclosure, including corporate accounting data, it can negatively impact market functioning, so it needs to be addressed. Recently, I've been particularly interested in the phenomenon of "greenwashing." Determining the truthfulness of ESG, SDGs, and sustainability initiatives is one of humanity's next major challenges. Thinking about what kind of laws, systems, and mechanisms would make the whole system function better is one of the most enjoyable aspects of research.
What is Kin-Zemi?
My research focuses on corporate law and business law.
You will study business law, particularly financial and capital market law (company law, financial instruments and exchange law, corporate accounting law).
As students work towards their graduation research project, they acquire a foundation in introductory law and basic corporate law, deepen their understanding of the complex and intricate current legal system, identify problems and challenges, and attempt to propose solutions. They also participate in fieldwork to experience the realities of the financial and capital markets, such as visiting the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
So far, we have covered topics such as: ● Legal frameworks for crypto assets (virtual currencies) ● Trends and issues in hostile takeover bids ● Legal regulations for virtual shareholder meetings.

Lecturer Yang Rakuka
Specialization: Distribution and Marketing Theory, International Management
The first theme is the Asian marketing strategies of retail companies in Europe, the US, and Japan. This research focuses on the challenge of a hybrid strategy of standardization and adaptation when companies expand overseas. It investigates how companies adapt their business models to local culture and lifestyles in order to grow and expand their businesses locally.
The second project is a study on developing sales channels for overseas expansion by small and medium-sized enterprises in Nagano Prefecture.
What is Yang Seminar?
My seminar focuses on distribution, marketing, and companies in Nagano Prefecture.
Our seminar aims to deepen our understanding of marketing and the distribution mechanisms from manufacturing to sales by learning about distribution and marketing knowledge, visiting companies in Nagano Prefecture, and interacting with company representatives.
Last year, we visited a total of six companies and gained a wealth of knowledge. Through these collaborations with local companies and practical programs, the seminar provides a place for students to hone their more practical skills.
